Dr Lee Choong

Dr Choong is a dedicated and highly experienced General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, holistic care to patients across all age groups. With a career spanning both metropolitan and rural settings, he has developed a versatile clinical approach that prioritises the long-term well-being of his patients. He is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care, ensuring that individuals and families receive the support they need to manage their health effectively.

Throughout his career, Dr Choong has cultivated a diverse range of clinical interests. He is particularly passionate about chronic disease management, helping patients navigate complex, long-term health conditions with tailored care plans. Additionally, he has extensive experience in men's health and standard emergency presentations. His practical expertise also extends to essential clinical procedures, including cervical screening tests (Pap smears) as well as Implanon insertion and removal. Beyond direct patient care, Dr Choong has also contributed to the medical community by mentoring International Medical Graduate (IMG) Doctors on their pathway to attaining their professional fellowships.

Dr Choong completed his Doctor of Medicine at the National University of Malaysia in 1982. He also holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, having attained his Fellowship in 1980. His extensive training and qualifications underpin his evidence-based approach to medicine, allowing him to provide safe, reliable, and compassionate care to the community.
