Dr Laura Jane Nield

Dr Laura Jane Nield is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred care. With a strong focus on empowering individuals to take active control of their own health journeys, she fosters a supportive and reassuring environment for all her patients. Her holistic approach to medicine ensures that each individual receives comprehensive care tailored to their unique needs and circumstances.

In her clinical practice, Dr Nield has developed a particular interest in gender-affirming healthcare, working closely with patients to support them through their transitions and ongoing wellness. She is also highly passionate about preventative medicine and health promotion, advocating for sustainable lifestyle choices and proactive health management. Beyond her clinical duties, she contributes to the wider medical community as a Lecturer, sharing her knowledge and mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Dr Nield completed her medical education at Monash University, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2016. Following her graduation, she undertook extensive training in general practice, culminating in her achieving Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2022. She remains an active member of the college, serving as a Teaching Visitor to support ongoing professional development within the field.
