Dr Kyra Thompson

Dr Thompson is a registered psychologist and an associate member of the Australian Psychological Society. They have a Bachelor of Psychology from the University of Newcastle and a Graduate Diploma in Psychological Practice from the College of Professional Psychology. Dr Thompson has clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. They have expertise in treating patients diagnosed with anxiety, low mood, autism, and social, self-regulation, and behavioural difficulties.

Dr Thompson predominantly focuses on using Cognitive Behavioural (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Interpersonal (IPT) therapeutic approaches, as well as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). They have completed the Cool Kids and Child Anxiety Program. Dr Thompson also has extensive experience conducting social skills groups and anxiety groups.
