Dr Khushboo Baheti

Dr Khushboo Baheti is a highly accomplished Consultant Psychiatrist who specialises in both adult and old age psychiatry. With extensive experience across both public and private healthcare settings in New South Wales, Dr Baheti is widely recognised for her compassionate, patient-centred approach. She centres her clinical practice around the recovery model, prioritising collaborative care, empowerment, and strong therapeutic partnerships to support her patients on their mental health journeys. Her dedication to clinical excellence was highlighted when she was awarded the prestigious Association of Salaried Medical Officers of New South Wales (ASMOF) Doctors in Training NSW Registrar of the Year Award.

Dr Baheti completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, India, in 2010. After relocating to Australia, she obtained her Australian Medical Council (AMC) Certificate in 2013. She went on to complete her specialist training, achieving Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) in 2019. To further her expertise in supporting older populations, she also earned a Fellowship Certificate in Psychiatry of Old Age. Dr Baheti is an active Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP).

In addition to her clinical work, Dr Baheti is deeply passionate about medical education and mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals. She serves as a Conjoint Lecturer in Psychiatry at the University of New South Wales, where she actively teaches and mentors medical students and psychiatric registrars. Her clinical interests span a broad range of mental health conditions, with a particular focus on anxiety disorders, mood disorders, psychosis, and the behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD). She also contributes her expertise as a Visiting Medical Officer in old age psychiatric units within the public health system.
