Dr Kenneth Mackey

Dr Kenneth Mackey is a highly respected and dedicated General Practitioner who has committed his career to providing comprehensive primary healthcare to rural and regional communities. With a deep passion for rural medicine, Dr Mackey delivers patient-centred care that focuses on the overall health and well-being of individuals and families. His extensive involvement in medical leadership and clinical governance reflects his commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality in healthcare.

Dr Mackey completed his medical education at the University of New South Wales, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery. To further support his work in rural communities, he obtained a Diploma of Obstetrics from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. He is a Fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. His outstanding contributions to general practice and rural medicine were formally recognised when he was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia.

Throughout his career, Dr Mackey has held numerous prominent leadership roles, including serving as the President of the Rural Doctors Association of Australia and its New South Wales branch. He has also contributed significantly to regional healthcare networks and continues to support the next generation of medical professionals as an Examiner for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. His clinical interests encompass a broad range of General Practice services, with a particular focus on rural health, preventative medicine, and clinical governance to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
