Dr Keith Johnson

Dr Keith Johnson is a highly qualified Consultant Neuropsychiatrist and Psychiatrist based in Sydney, Australia. He specialises in the assessment and management of complex neuropsychiatric and neurodevelopmental disorders, working as a Neuropsychiatrist and ADHD Specialist. Dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centred care, Dr Johnson works collaboratively with individuals to develop personalised treatment plans that address both their mental and physical well-being.

With extensive training in both psychiatry and sleep medicine, Dr Johnson offers a comprehensive approach to diagnosing and treating conditions such as insomnia, mood disorders, and bipolar disorder. His clinical interests also encompass the neuropsychiatric comorbidities of neurological illnesses, including epilepsy, movement disorders, and cerebrovascular disorders. Dr Johnson completed his undergraduate medical training at the University of New South Wales, obtaining a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, alongside a Bachelor of Science (Medicine) and a Bachelor of Arts in French, qualifying in 2002. He completed his specialist training in psychiatry in 2012 and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP). Additionally, he holds an Advanced Training Certificate in Consultation Liaison Psychiatry. Committed to academic excellence, Dr Johnson has earned a Master of Medicine in Sleep Medicine and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) focusing on the neurophysiological aspects of insomnia from the University of Sydney, as well as a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from Harvard University. He has also completed prestigious fellowships and specialist training placements in intellectual disability mental health, neurodevelopmental disabilities, brain injury, and epilepsy both in Australia and the United Kingdom.
