Dr Katrina McLean

Dr Katrina McLean is a dedicated and highly skilled General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. Born and raised in rural New Zealand, she brings a compassionate and reassuring approach to her clinical practice. Dr McLean is deeply passionate about improving patient care through enhanced communication, ensuring that every individual feels heard, respected, and actively involved in their healthcare journey. She embraces the diverse challenges of general practice, having worked in a wide variety of clinical settings across both New Zealand and Australia.

With a broad range of clinical interests, Dr McLean is particularly focused on women's and children's health, offering expert guidance in antenatal and postnatal care, family planning, fertility assessments, and sexual health and contraception. Her holistic approach to medicine also encompasses chronic disease management, preventative medicine, and lifestyle coaching. Additionally, she is committed to supporting Indigenous health and Maori health, ensuring culturally safe and inclusive care for all patients.

Dr McLean completed her medical education at the University of Otago, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2003. She also holds a Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science with Distinction and a Postgraduate Diploma in Sports Medicine. Demonstrating her commitment to clinical excellence, she is a dual Fellow of both the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners. Dr McLean is also an active member of the Australian Medical Association.
