Dr Kate Carison

Dr Kate Carison is a dedicated and highly skilled General Practitioner based in Warrnambool, Victoria. With a compassionate and patient-centred approach, she provides comprehensive healthcare services to individuals and families within the local community. Dr Carison has a diverse range of clinical interests, with a particular focus on paediatrics, preventative medicine, mental health, and sexual health. She is committed to delivering high-quality, reassuring care that supports her patients' long-term well-being.

Dr Carison completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at Melbourne University in 2004, which included an honours year (Bachelor of Medical Science) in Adolescent Psychiatry. Following her graduation, she gained valuable clinical experience working across several major paediatric and general hospitals. To further enhance her clinical skills, she completed a Diploma of Family Planning and Sexual Health, as well as Focussed Psychological Skills training through the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr Carison is deeply involved in medical education and professional advocacy. She has served as a Senior Clinical Lecturer at a leading university, sharing her knowledge with the next generation of medical professionals, and continues to play an active role in supervising General Practice Registrars. Dr Carison is also a member of the Australian Professional Association for Transgender Health, reflecting her commitment to providing inclusive and supportive care. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending time with her young family and exploring the natural beauty of the local region.
