Dr Karyn Forbes

Dr Karyn Forbes is a dedicated and compassionate Specialist General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive, evidence-based care tailored to the unique needs of her patients. While she enjoys the diverse challenges of general medicine, Dr Forbes has developed a strong clinical focus on women's health, reproductive medicine, and midlife care. She is particularly passionate about supporting women through key life transitions, offering specialised guidance in perimenopause, menopause, and premenstrual syndrome. Her expertise also encompasses contraceptive advice, family planning, preconception assessments, and menstrual concerns. Additionally, she provides comprehensive care in paediatric medicine, palliative care, health education, and preventative disease management, ensuring families receive holistic support at every stage of life.

Dr Forbes completed her medical training at Deakin University, where she obtained her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2011. Prior to her medical degree, she earned a Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science in Radiotherapy. Committed to continuous professional development, she has also completed a Diploma of Child Health and holds a National Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health. Dr Forbes is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and maintains active membership with the Australasian Menopause Society.
