Dr Karmen Wai

Dr Karmen Wai works as a clinical neurologist with Neurology Network Melbourne. She provides a holistic neurological service to her patients and prides herself on delivering personalised care with an emphasis on good communication. Dr Wai sees adult patients with a broad range of general neurological conditions but specialises particularly in neurophysiological, neuroimmunological, and neuromuscular disorders. Her patients can expect to receive a comprehensive assessment of their symptoms and advanced diagnostics using nerve conduction studies as well as EMG. Dr Wai is also available to see patients who require urgent appointments.

Dr Wai first graduated in 2007 from the University of Adelaide before specialising in the field of neurology. She completed her advanced training in neurology at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Flinders Medical Centre after which she became a fellow with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. She also holds a fellowship in both neuromuscular medicine and in neuroimmunology. Dr Wai is continually expanding her medical knowledge - she is currently undertaking a master's degree in neuromuscular conditions and is an honorary fellow at St Vincent's Hospital.
