Dr Julian Liew

Dr Julian Liew is a highly experienced Specialist Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with subspecialty interests in Microsurgery and Breast Reconstruction Surgery. He completed his medical degree at Monash University in 2002 followed by his general surgery and plastic surgery training. In 2015, he completed his specialist Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery training and was awarded his Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He later undertook a year-long fellowship at the world-renowned Queen Victoria Hospital in the United Kingdom, recognised for pioneering reconstructive and plastic surgery for burns.

Dr Liew is currently the Clinical Lead of Breast Reconstruction and the Supervisor of Plastic Surgery Training at Austin Health. In 2017, established his specialist plastic and reconstructive surgery practice, The Clinic Plastic Surgery, in East Melbourne. He is also a Clinical Trainer in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
