Dr Julia Chen

Dr Julia Chen is a highly dedicated Medical Oncologist who specialises in the comprehensive care of patients diagnosed with cancer. With a compassionate and patient-centred approach, she focuses on delivering personalised treatment plans tailored to each individual's unique needs. Her primary areas of clinical expertise lie in the management of breast and genitourinary cancers, where she works closely within multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and holistic care.

Dr Chen graduated with honours in Medicine from the University of New South Wales. She completed her comprehensive internal medicine and medical oncology training across several major teaching hospitals in Australia, before undertaking a clinical research fellowship and completing her PhD at a leading medical research institute. Her doctoral research focused on the biology of triple-negative breast cancer using advanced single-cell genomic and spatial technologies. Dr Chen holds professional memberships with several prestigious organisations, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO), the Medical Oncology Group of Australia (MOGA), the Breast Cancer Trials Group (BCT), and the Australia and New Zealand Urogenital and Prostate Cancer Trials Group (ANZUP).

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr Chen is a committed educator and researcher. She serves as a Conjoint Senior Lecturer at a leading university, where she supervises and mentors basic and advanced Physician Trainees. As a Translational Research Fellow, she continues to investigate cancer biology to help bridge the gap between laboratory discoveries and patient care.
