Dr Joon Win Tan

Dr Joon Win Tan is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing inclusive, high-quality healthcare to patients from all walks of life. He believes in delivering patient-centred care that is both culturally sensitive and deeply respectful of individual needs. As a versatile General Practitioner, Dr Tan is competent in all aspects of family medicine. He has a strong focus on preventative care, helping patients manage their long-term health and well-being. His clinical interests are broad and include paediatrics, mental health, and comprehensive skin checks. Additionally, he is highly skilled in women's health, including the insertion and removal of Implanon contraceptive devices. During his general practice training, he also gained valuable experience working closely with Aboriginal communities, which further enhanced his commitment to delivering culturally respectful healthcare.

Dr Tan began his academic journey at the University of Melbourne, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Biomedical Science with Honours. Before transitioning into clinical medicine, he spent several years working as a Research Scientist. He then completed his postgraduate medical degree, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honours from Deakin University. Dr Tan undertook his hospital training within a major metropolitan health network, focusing particularly on obstetrics and gynaecology. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, reflecting his high standards of clinical competence and ongoing commitment to professional excellence.
