Dr Jonathon Ng

Dr Jonathon Ng is a highly accomplished and dedicated comprehensive Ophthalmologist who provides expert eye care. With a patient-centred approach, Dr Ng focuses on delivering tailored treatments to improve and protect his patients' vision. He has a particular clinical interest in cataract and pterygium surgery, as well as the comprehensive medical, laser, and surgical management of glaucoma.

Dr Ng completed his specialist ophthalmology training in Western Australia before pursuing advanced post-fellowship training. He undertook a prestigious fellowship in glaucoma at a renowned eye hospital in the United Kingdom, followed by a further fellowship focusing on cataract surgery and general ophthalmology at a major medical centre in Melbourne. His academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, a Bachelor of Arts, a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Epidemiology, and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) completed with distinction.

As a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (FRANZCO), Dr Ng is deeply committed to maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice. He actively contributes to the wider medical community, serving on key committees for the Australian and New Zealand Glaucoma Society and the college's scientific review panels. Recognised for his contributions to the field, he has received achievement awards from both the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology. Alongside his clinical work, Dr Ng is a Clinical Associate Professor and remains actively engaged in ophthalmic research, focusing on cataract surgery outcomes and the impact of vision impairment.
