Dr John-Paul Darby is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. He believes in empowering his patients to achieve optimal health and well-being by combining traditional Western medicine with holistic therapeutic approaches. Dr Darby completed his medical degree at the University of Melbourne, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery with Honours in 1996. Following his graduation, he completed his internship and residency training as a Resident Medical Officer before obtaining his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2002. Committed to expanding his therapeutic toolkit, he also earned a Certificate of Medical Hypnosis from the Australian College of Medical Hypnosis in 2007 and undertook advanced training in the United States with Dr Brian Weiss, focusing on regression therapy, Jungian-type psychotherapy, and rapid induction techniques.

In his clinical practice, Dr Darby enjoys all aspects of family medicine, with a particular interest in mental health, relaxation training, and medical hypnosis. He frequently integrates cognitive behavioural therapy and relaxation techniques into his consultations to help patients manage stress, anxiety, and various chronic medical conditions. By combining evidence-based general practice with these specialised therapeutic modalities, Dr Darby supports his patients in making positive, lasting changes to improve their overall quality of life.
