Dr John Lawson

Dr John Lawson is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive healthcare services to patients of all ages. With a patient-centred approach, he focuses on delivering high-quality, personalised care to support the ongoing health and well-being of individuals and families. His broad medical interests span across all areas of general practice, ensuring that patients receive well-rounded and reassuring medical support.

Before embarking on his career in medicine, Dr Lawson worked as a practising Pharmacist in both North Queensland and the United Kingdom. This unique background provides him with an exceptionally strong understanding of medication management, pharmacology, and patient care. By combining his pharmaceutical expertise with his medical knowledge, he is able to offer a holistic and highly informed approach to family medicine and chronic disease management.

Dr Lawson grew up and completed his initial studies in Townsville. He holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy and subsequently went on to study medicine, earning his Bachelor of Medicine. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, reflecting his commitment to maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence in primary care.

In his clinical practice, Dr Lawson offers a wide range of services, including minor skin procedures, cryotherapy, and other common general practice procedures. He has a keen interest in mental health, men's health, paediatrics, and geriatric medicine. Outside of his professional life, Dr Lawson is a passionate cricket enthusiast who is actively involved in coaching and supporting local junior players. He also enjoys fishing and spending quality time with his family.
