Dr John Gerard O'Connor is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred care. With a broad range of experience in diverse clinical settings, he focuses on delivering comprehensive healthcare solutions tailored to the unique needs of each individual. Dr O'Connor prioritises building strong, trusting relationships with his patients, ensuring they feel supported and informed throughout their healthcare journey.

Throughout his career, Dr O'Connor has gained extensive clinical experience across various healthcare environments. After completing his initial medical training, he worked within the hospital system in Ireland before relocating to Australia. His professional journey includes working in regional hospital settings in Queensland, as well as spending several years in the Northern Territory. During this time, he gained invaluable experience working extensively in Indigenous health and rural and remote general practice, which has deeply shaped his holistic approach to patient care.

Dr O'Connor completed his medical education at University College Cork in Ireland, graduating in 2006 with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, and Bachelor of the Art of Obstetrics (MBBS, BAO, Bah). Committed to maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence, he has undertaken further postgraduate training and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). Outside of his clinical practice, Dr O'Connor enjoys active pursuits such as travelling, cycling, walking, and hiking.
