Dr Jessica O'Connor

Dr Jessica O'Connor is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a strong focus on building lasting relationships with her patients, she enjoys all aspects of General Practice. Dr O'Connor approaches healthcare with a reassuring and holistic perspective, ensuring that individuals and families receive the highest standard of medical support tailored to their unique needs.

Dr O'Connor completed her medical education at James Cook University, where she developed a deep-seated passion for rural, remote, and Indigenous health. She holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). Her diverse training pathway has equipped her with a robust clinical foundation, allowing her to deliver high-quality care across various healthcare settings.

Throughout her career, Dr O'Connor has gained valuable experience working in regional hospitals in North Queensland, as well as undergoing extensive General Practice training in Sydney. This blend of regional and metropolitan experience has enriched her clinical expertise. She has developed particular clinical interests in several key areas, including paediatrics, women's health, sexual health, antenatal care, and preventative medicine. Dr O'Connor is passionate about helping her patients achieve optimal health outcomes through proactive education and preventative care strategies.
