Dr Jason Kaplan

Dr Jason Kaplan is a Specialist Adult Cardiologist based in Sydney at Advara HeartCare. He completed his medical degree at the University of New South Wales in 2000, followed by his training in general internal medicine at St George Hospital and the Prince of Wales Hospital, as well as his training in adult cardiology at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. After his training, Dr Kaplan completed further additional training in cardiac imaging in Australia, and at the MAYO clinic in the United States. Dr Kaplan is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand and the American College of Cardiology.

In his current clinical practice, he performs transoesophageal echocardiography, pharmacological stress echocardiography and contrast echo and strain imaging. He is also an accredited specialist in cardiac CT and personally evaluates all of his patients' scans. Alongside his work at Advara HeartCare, Dr Kaplan also sees patients at Macquarie University Hospital, where he is part of a team bringing minimally invasive robotic cardiac surgery to the hospital, as well as being a part of the Structural Heart Disease team.

Dr Kaplan also has special interests in integrative cardiology, enjoying incorporating principles of nutritional, functional, mind-body and cardiovascular medicine when caring for his patients, as well as sports cardiology.
