Dr Jane Sheedy

Dr Jane Sheedy is a highly dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. In addition to General Practice, Dr Sheedy has developed advanced expertise in several key areas of medicine, particularly women's health and skin cancer medicine. She is highly skilled in providing comprehensive antenatal care, menopause management, and contraceptive services, including Implanon insertion and removal, as well as Mirena removal. As an accredited skin cancer Doctor, she is proficient in performing thorough full-body skin checks, mole removals, and managing various dermatological conditions. Her dedication to preventative care ensures that patients receive proactive and thorough assessments for skin health.

Dr Sheedy's extensive medical background is supported by a robust academic foundation. She initially completed a Bachelor of Science majoring in microbiology and immunology at the University of Melbourne, followed by her medical degree from Flinders Medical School, qualifying in 1995. She achieved Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2003 and holds a Diploma from the Royal Australian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. Committed to continuous learning, she also earned a Master of Medicine in Skin Cancer from the University of Queensland and holds certificates in dermatology. Dr Sheedy is an active Member of the Australasian Skin Cancer College, the International Dermoscopy Society, and the Australian Menopause Society.
