Dr Jane Maxwell

Dr Jane Maxwell is a dedicated and highly compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a broad clinical background, she supports individuals and families through all stages of life, focusing on preventative medicine and holistic well-being. Dr Maxwell has a diverse range of clinical experience, having worked in major tertiary hospitals before transitioning into community-based primary care. Her practice is characterised by a reassuring and thorough approach, ensuring that every patient feels heard and supported.

Throughout her career, Dr Maxwell has developed a strong focus on key areas of family medicine, including women's health, paediatrics, and mental health. She has undertaken advanced training in women's health, enabling her to provide specialised support in pregnancy care, post-natal care, and menopause management. Her commitment to healthcare equity is reflected in her extensive work with diverse and vulnerable populations, including young people, refugee communities, and Indigenous communities in remote and rural areas. She is also highly skilled in managing chronic diseases, such as diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease, and lung disease, as well as providing travel medicine advice.

Dr Maxwell completed her medical degree at the University of Melbourne in 2010. Following her graduation, she gained valuable clinical experience in tertiary hospital settings before commencing her career as a General Practitioner in 2014. Alongside her clinical practice, she is deeply involved in medical education and research. Dr Maxwell serves as a Medical Educator with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and holds a position as an Honorary Fellow at the University of Melbourne, contributing to the training of the next generation of medical professionals.
