Dr Jamie Sharkey is an Australian-born and trained General Practitioner who is dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a diverse professional background, he brings a wealth of knowledge and a reassuring, holistic approach to family medicine. Dr Sharkey is committed to supporting patients of all ages, managing a broad spectrum of general practice needs from acute illnesses and injury management to preventive health and long-term wellness.

Dr Sharkey completed his medical training at the University of Sydney, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2003, having previously earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc). Prior to his medical career, he served as a Seaman Officer in the Royal Australian Navy, a role that helped shape his disciplined and adaptable approach to healthcare. His professional journey also includes valuable experience working as an Emergency Doctor and General Practitioner in remote and regional communities.

Throughout his career, Dr Sharkey has developed a wide range of clinical interests. He has extensive experience in family practice and reproductive medicine, having previously worked as a Fertility Specialist. In addition to fertility and IVF medicine, his areas of clinical focus include travel medicine, mental health, skin cancer, men's health, and chronic disease management. He is passionate about helping patients navigate complex health journeys with clear guidance and compassionate care.
