Dr James Wei

Dr James Wei is a dedicated Consultant Geriatrician who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care for older individuals. Working closely with General Practitioners and other healthcare professionals, Dr Wei focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases and conditions associated with ageing. He is committed to helping his patients maintain their independence, mobility, and overall quality of life by addressing complex health needs with empathy and expertise.

His clinical interests span a wide range of geriatric syndromes and medical issues. Dr Wei specialises in conducting comprehensive geriatric assessments, managing cognitive and memory concerns, and evaluating mood disturbances. He also offers expert care in falls and balance assessments, osteoporosis management, continence issues, and chronic pain management. Additionally, Dr Wei is highly skilled in advanced care planning, medication reviews, and restorative rehabilitation for movement disorders such as Parkinson's disease.

Dr Wei completed his medical degree at the University of Melbourne, qualifying in 2005. He subsequently undertook his specialist training programme across several major health networks. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP), reflecting his high standards of clinical excellence and dedication to the field of Geriatric Medicine.
