Dr Imelda Cabatuando

Dr Imelda Cabatuando is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. Known warmly to many of her patients as Dr Mel, she takes a holistic approach to healthcare, looking beyond physical symptoms to support the overall well-being of individuals and families. Her reassuring manner and thorough clinical approach have made her a highly trusted medical professional within the community.

With a diverse range of clinical interests, Dr Cabatuando provides expert care across all aspects of general practice. She has a strong focus on preventative health and wellness, with particular expertise in skin cancer checks and management, having completed advanced training in dermoscopy. Additionally, she is highly experienced in managing mental health, women's healthcare, and paediatric medicine, including childhood immunisations and adolescent health. Her practice is also deeply inclusive, encompassing dedicated care in Indigenous and Aboriginal health.

Dr Cabatuando earned her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in the Philippines in 1983. After relocating to Australia, she continued to advance her medical career and achieved Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2011. To further support her clinical focus, she has undertaken specialised training in dermoscopy and skin cancer management, ensuring her patients receive high-quality, evidence-based care. Outside of her clinical work, she is actively involved in community outreach and enjoys spending time in her garden.
