Dr Ian Davies

Dr Ian Davies is a highly dedicated General Practitioner and Dentist, committed to providing comprehensive and personalised care. With a patient-focused and holistic approach, he ensures that individuals feel relaxed and reassured throughout their clinical journey. Dr Davies combines a calm, reassuring manner with a high level of clinical skill, making him particularly adept at managing patient anxiety and delivering evidence-based treatments.

Throughout his career, Dr Davies has developed a diverse range of clinical interests. He specialises in biologically driven cosmetic and restorative dentistry, endodontics, and sleep dentistry. He is also highly skilled in providing evidence-based treatments for temporomandibular joint disorders and muscle pain, which includes the administration of therapeutic Botox injections. Additionally, Dr Davies works closely with medical colleagues to provide custom sleep apnoea appliances and is actively involved in research to develop protocols that help anxious patients manage their dental anxiety.

Dr Davies completed his academic training at the University of Queensland, graduating with a Bachelor of Dental Science with Honours in 1997. Committed to professional development, he has been mentored by specialist colleagues and has attended numerous postgraduate courses to keep his skills at the forefront of the field. Beyond his clinical practice, Dr Davies has contributed to the education of future professionals by teaching at the University of Queensland Dental School in the disciplines of Prosthodontics and Endodontics. He is an active member of the Australian Dental Association and the Australian Prosthodontic Society, and he serves on the committee of the Australian Endodontic Society Queensland.
