Dr Htun Aung

Dr Htun Aung is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages. With a patient-centred approach, he focuses on delivering high-quality, personalised medical care that addresses both acute health concerns and long-term wellness. Dr Aung is committed to fostering strong, trusting relationships with his patients, ensuring they feel supported and informed throughout their healthcare journey.

Throughout his career, Dr Aung has developed a diverse range of clinical interests to better serve his community. He is highly skilled in chronic disease management, geriatric medicine, and mental health care. Additionally, he has a strong focus on children's health, sexual health, and preventative medicine. His advanced training in dermatology allows him to offer specialised skin cancer checks, minor skin surgeries, and other minor clinical procedures, providing patients with comprehensive care.

Dr Aung completed his primary medical degree, obtaining his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the Institute of Medicine in Yangon. After moving to Australia, he gained extensive clinical experience working as a Resident Medical Officer and Medical Registrar, particularly in emergency medicine, general medicine, and Indigenous health. Committed to continuous professional development, he earned a Diploma in Child Health from the University of Sydney and later completed an Australian Dermatology Diploma. Dr Aung completed his General Practice training in Victoria and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).
