Dr Himanshu Goel

Dr Himanshu Goel is a Clinical Geneticist consulting at Children’s Health Hub. He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi, India, in 2000. He later completed specialist training in Paediatrics and Medical Genetics in India before relocating to Australia in 2008 to undertake a Fellowship in Metabolic Medicine at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne.

In 2009, Dr Goel was awarded a travel scholarship to present his research at the International Congress on Inborn Errors of Metabolism in San Diego. He commenced his role as a Clinical Geneticist at Hunter Genetics, Hunter New England Local Health District, in 2010, and achieved Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2011.

Dr Goel’s clinical interests include general genetics, prenatal genetics, dysmorphology, and neurogenetics. He has extensive experience in diagnosing and managing a broad range of genetic and metabolic conditions in both children and adults. His work combines clinical genetics expertise with a commitment to research and teaching.
