Dr Heidi McKenzie

Dr Heidi McKenzie is a dedicated General Practitioner who is deeply passionate about the well-being of her patients. She believes that evidence-based, whole-person focused, and high-quality medicine has the power to transform lives. Dr McKenzie approaches patient care with the core belief that the best health outcomes are achieved when individuals are respected, carefully listened to, and empowered to make informed decisions about their own health. She values collaborative care and works closely with medical specialists and allied health professionals to help patients achieve their personal health goals.

With a diverse range of clinical interests, Dr McKenzie provides comprehensive care across all areas of general medicine. As the partner of a veteran, she has a profound personal and professional interest in supporting veterans and their families. She has extensive experience assisting veterans through the complex transition from military to civilian life, including helping those who wish to re-engage with support systems many years after discharge. Her clinical focus also extends to managing chronic diseases, addressing chronic pain, and treating hypermobility spectrum disorders. Additionally, she is skilled in metabolic medicine, obesity management, and administering iron infusions.

Dr McKenzie completed her Bachelor of Medical Science at the University of Technology Sydney in 2005. She then went on to study medicine, earning her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Sydney, graduating in March 2010. Following her relocation to Brisbane, she completed her specialist General Practice Training. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), reflecting her commitment to maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice.
