Dr Gunjan Garg is a Clinical Geneticist consulting at Children’s Health Hub in St Leonards. She is a Staff Specialist at Liverpool Hospital and Hunter Genetics and a Conjoint Lecturer at the University of New South Wales. Dr Garg graduated from the University of Newcastle and completed her Basic Physician Training at Royal North Shore Hospital before undertaking specialist training in genetics at Liverpool Hospital, Royal North Shore Hospital, and the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network.
Dr Garg provides care for both adult and paediatric patients, offering diagnostic assessments and management for a wide range of genetic conditions. She has extensive experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and has a particular interest in identifying and managing genetic conditions specific to certain ethnic groups.
Her training included work in subspecialty multidisciplinary clinics such as the Neuromuscular Clinic at Prince of Wales Hospital and the Neurofibromatosis Clinic at Royal North Shore Hospital. She also trained with the Familial Cancer Service at Westmead Hospital, gaining experience in hereditary cancer syndromes and family risk assessment.
In addition to her clinical and academic roles, Dr Garg maintains an interest in education and research, contributing to teaching and supervision within her field.
