Dr Gaveen Jayarajan

Dr Gaveen Jayarajan is a General Practitioner specialising in Aged Care with almost 20 years of experience and 15 years of experience in General Practice. He is the Founder and Principal GP of Doctors in Aged Care in Melbourne. He completed his medical degree at the University of Melbourne in 2003 and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2010.

Throughout his career, Dr Jayarajan has gained extensive clinical, operational and leadership experience from providing medical and healthcare services to residential old age care facilities. At Doctors in Aged Care, he provides primary healthcare services to residents of several Residential Aged Care Facilities. These services include palliative care and the management of dementia, chronic and complex medical conditions and mental health. Dr Jayarajan works closely with specialist geriatricians, clinical pharmacists, nurse practitioners and experienced administrators with the focus of providing residents with an excellent healthcare service.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr Jayarajan is the Founder & Administrator of the Doctors in Aged Care Facebook Group, the largest educational and peer support group for Australian doctors working in aged care. He is also a Medical Advisory Board Member and Aged Care & Technical Advisory Board Member to two leading cloud-based healthcare software companies.
