Dr Farooq Ahmad

Dr Farooq Ahmad is a highly skilled and compassionate General Practitioner who is dedicated to providing comprehensive primary care. He is known for his collaborative approach to patient care, actively listening to his patients and involving them in decisions regarding their health and wellbeing. With a broad clinical focus, Dr Ahmad delivers high-quality medical services tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual, ensuring a reassuring and supportive environment.

Dr Ahmad completed his Bachelor of Science before earning his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. He furthered his postgraduate training by obtaining a Diploma in Family Medicine in South Africa, and in 2004, he achieved Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He is an active and respected figure in the medical community, serving as a Board Member for both the South Australia and Northern Territory branch of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and the Northern Health Network.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Ahmad is deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of medical professionals. He serves as a Supervisor for general practice training programmes and acts as a Clinical Examiner for both the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and the Australian Medical Council. His outstanding contributions to general practice and support for international medical graduates were recognised in 2007 when he was honoured with the prestigious McCleave Thompson Award.
