About Dr Evelyn Chia
Dr Evelyn Chia is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist based on Sydney’s North Shore. She graduated in 2000 from the University of New South Wales with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, and a Bachelor of Science. Following her graduation, she gained early clinical experience in paediatrics and surgery at the Prince of Wales Hospital before specialising in obstetrics and gynaecology at Westmead Hospital. She subsequently undertook training in laparoscopic surgery at the Royal North Shore and Mater Hospitals.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr Chia has been involved in medical education since 2006. She has served as an Associate Lecturer at the University of Sydney and has trained junior doctors in obstetrics and gynaecology.
Raised in Singapore before moving to Australia, Dr Chia is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, enabling her to communicate effectively with a wide range of patients. Her practice encompasses the management of general gynaecological conditions, high-risk and low-risk pregnancies, and minimally invasive gynaecological surgery.
