Dr Elizabeth Williams

Dr Elizabeth Williams is a highly dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a reassuring and professional approach, she enjoys the diverse nature of family medicine and is committed to supporting her patients in achieving optimal physical and mental wellbeing. Dr Williams believes in working collaboratively with individuals to foster long-term health outcomes, ensuring that every patient feels heard and supported throughout their healthcare journey.

Throughout her career, Dr Williams has developed a strong focus on women's health and children's health, offering expert guidance in antenatal shared care and paediatric medicine. Her clinical interests also encompass travel health, mental health support, and chronic disease management. Notably, she has gained significant experience in the management of long COVID, advocating for structured, holistic primary care pathways to assist patients recovering from the long-term effects of the virus.

Dr Williams completed her medical education at the University of Melbourne, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 1993. To further her expertise in obstetrics and gynaecology, she obtained a Diploma of the Royal Australian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (DRACOG). She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). In addition to her clinical practice, Dr Williams is deeply involved in medical education, supervising student doctors and receiving the Outstanding GP Teacher Award from the University of Melbourne in 2014.
