Dr Deepa Viswanathan

Dr Deepa Viswanathan is a highly qualified and dedicated Ophthalmologist who specialises in corneal, cataract, and general eye health. With a patient-centred approach, she is committed to delivering exceptional clinical care and advanced surgical solutions to help individuals maintain and restore their vision. Her clinical practice encompasses a broad range of eye conditions, with a particular focus on corneal disorders and anterior segment diseases.

Dr Viswanathan completed her undergraduate medical training, obtaining her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2000, followed by a Master of Surgery (MS) in Ophthalmology in 2005. She then undertook a prestigious two-year clinical and research corneal fellowship, gaining comprehensive training in managing complex corneal, ocular surface, and anterior segment disorders. Furthering her academic and clinical expertise, she completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) focusing on corneal structure and biomechanics in glaucoma and keratoconus. Dr Viswanathan is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) Glasgow and has been awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (FRANZCO).
