Dr Debra Tellam

Dr Debra Tellam is a dedicated General Practitioner who provides comprehensive healthcare services to the community of Kingaroy, Australia. Having grown up in Bundaberg, Queensland, she has spent decades delivering high-quality medical care across various regional and rural settings. Her career has taken her to diverse locations, including Hawker in South Australia and Dysart in Queensland, before she established her own medical practice in Kingaroy in 1990. Throughout her career, Dr Tellam has remained committed to supporting the health and well-being of her patients through personalised and compassionate care.

Dr Tellam completed her medical education at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, where she obtained her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery. Following her graduation, she undertook her residency training in Brisbane from 1981 to 1982. This foundational training equipped her with a broad range of clinical skills, preparing her for the diverse challenges of rural and regional General Practice.

As an experienced General Practitioner, Dr Tellam has developed particular clinical interests in skin cancer diagnosis and management, including performing complex procedures such as flaps and grafts.
