Dr Deborah Saltman

Dr Deborah Saltman AM is a highly accomplished General Practitioner and Public Health Medicine Specialist who is dedicated to providing comprehensive, evidence-based care. With a career that spans clinical practice, medical education, and health system leadership, she brings a wealth of knowledge and a holistic approach to patient care. Dr Saltman focuses on building strong, collaborative relationships with her patients, supporting them in achieving long-term health outcomes through personalised and preventive medicine.

Her clinical interests are diverse, with a strong focus on chronic disease management, women's health, weight management, and LGBTQI+ care. As a Specialist in Public Health Medicine, Dr Saltman integrates the latest research and evidence-based practices into everyday clinical care, ensuring that her patients receive the highest standard of treatment. Dr Saltman completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Sydney, and subsequently earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of New South Wales. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and a Fellow of the Australasian Faculty of Public Health Medicine. Internationally recognised, she is also a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners in the United Kingdom and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. In recognition of her significant service to medicine, women's health, and general practice, she was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia and has been awarded the prestigious Rose-Hunt Medal.
