About Dr David Lim

Dr David Lim is a Specialist General Surgeon with subspecialty training in breast cancer treatment and oncoplastic breast surgery. His clinical interests include breast cancer surgery, breast disorders, gall bladder surgery and hernia repair. He is also a GESA-accredited endoscopist for gastroscopy and colonoscopy.

Dr Lim completed his medical degree at Monash University in 2011 before undertaking advanced general surgical training. He subsequently gained Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and completed post-fellowship training with BreastSurgANZ, which included further training in oncoplastic breast surgery and the management of breast cancer.

His approach to breast cancer treatment incorporates multidisciplinary care, patient education and involvement in decision-making. Dr Lim also has an interest in research and medical education and has held roles in postgraduate medical education and surgical trainee education.

Professional memberships include BreastSurgANZ, the Australasian Society for Breast Disease, General Surgeons Australia, the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and the Gastroenterological Society of Australia.
