Dr David Jefferson

Dr David Jefferson is an extensively experienced Consultant Urological Surgeon who has been providing specialist care since 2005. After earning his medical degree from the University of Sydney in 1993, he completed his specialist urological training in New South Wales before moving to Melbourne, where he undertook a fellowship in Urological Oncology at Monash Medical Centre in Victoria. During this fellowship, he also helped establish the centre’s Laparoscopic Renal Surgery program, contributing to the development of minimally invasive techniques for the surgical management of renal conditions.

With a career spanning more than two decades, Dr Jefferson is dedicated to achieving optimal functional and oncological outcomes for his patients. He is currently undertaking advanced training in robotic surgery, with a focus on prostate and renal cancers, as well as complex reconstructive renal surgery. His practice combines established surgical expertise with ongoing training in advanced techniques.

Dr Jefferson has a broad urological practice, with particular interests in urological oncology, urinary tract stone disease, male incontinence and erectile dysfunction. He provides care across a range of general and specialist urological conditions, supporting patients with both complex and routine concerns. His cultural awareness and patient-centred approach underpin his consultations, while his involvement in multidisciplinary care allows him to work collaboratively with other specialists to develop appropriate treatment strategies.
