Dr Cindy Alatan

Dr Cindy Alatan is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a reassuring and professional approach, she is committed to supporting patients through all stages of life. Dr Alatan has extensive experience in managing a diverse range of health concerns, ensuring that each individual receives personalised and high-quality medical attention. Her practice focuses on delivering preventative care and promoting long-term well-being within the community.

Dr Alatan completed her Doctor of Medicine at the China Medical University. Following her initial medical training, she relocated to New Zealand, where she completed the Medicine Bridging programme at the University of Otago. She went on to undertake postgraduate training, completing a general practice training programme and obtaining her Fellowship of The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners in 2009. In 2010, she was awarded her Fellowship of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, reflecting her high standards of clinical excellence and dedication to her profession.

Throughout her career, Dr Alatan has gained valuable clinical experience across various medical settings. She served as a Junior Army Doctor and later worked as both a Junior and Senior Medical Officer within several healthcare facilities in New Zealand. Since relocating to Melbourne, she has continued her work as a Vocational Registered General Practitioner. Dr Alatan has developed particular clinical interests in women's medicine, paediatrics, and geriatric medicine. She is also highly skilled in managing chronic medical conditions, common dermatological issues, musculoskeletal conditions, and mental health concerns, as well as handling occupational health, travel medicine, and work-related injury claims.
