Dr Christine May

Dr Christine May is an experienced general dentist with a strong focus on oral surgery and dental implants.

Christine launched XO Smiles - Wisdom Teeth, Surgical and Implant Dentistry Services - in 2025. Christine brings a wealth of knowledge from both clinical practice and advanced postgraduate training. Christine operates from general dental practices, currently including:

•  Kawana Dental, Buddina.

Dr May completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Honours at the University of Sydney in 2001, followed by a Bachelor of Health Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the University of Technology Sydney in 2010. She further advanced her expertise with a Masters in Clinical Dentistry Oral Surgery from Griffith University in 2025 and a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry Oral Implants in 2026.

Her professional experience spans private practice, public hospitals, and Aboriginal community clinics, providing her with a broad and diverse clinical perspective. She is highly skilled in procedures such as wisdom teeth removal, oral surgery and dental implant placement.

In addition to her surgical expertise, Dr May’s additional training in dental sleep medicine, Chinese medicine, naturopathy, nutrition, and yoga enables her to offer a holistic, integrative approach to patient care.

Outside of dentistry, she enjoys spending time at the beach and exploring the outdoors with her partner and dog.
