Dr Wei completed his medical education in India, where he obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 1997. Following his graduation, he completed his housemanship training and gained extensive clinical experience working across various departments in public hospitals. He later undertook specialist training in general practice and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2012.
