Dr Catherine Falconer

Dr Catherine Falconer is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is deeply committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a strong focus on preventative health, she works closely with individuals and families to support their long-term well-being. Her reassuring and professional approach ensures that patients feel heard and supported at every stage of their health journey.

In her clinical practice, Dr Falconer has developed a diverse range of special interests, with a particular focus on women's and children's health. She is highly skilled in intrauterine contraceptive device (IUCD) management, offering personalised counselling, insertion, and follow-up care. Additionally, she is accredited to provide shared antenatal care in collaboration with leading maternity hospitals, supporting women throughout their pregnancies. Her expertise also extends to administering iron infusions for patients managing iron deficiency, as well as addressing a broad spectrum of family medicine needs.

Dr Falconer also holds a strong clinical interest in skin cancer medicine. She provides thorough skin checks, early detection, and surveillance, alongside the surgical management of skin cancers suitable for a general practice setting. To support this area of her practice, she has undertaken extensive further training, ensuring her patients receive high-quality, evidence-based care for skin health.

Dr Falconer holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). She also holds a Diploma of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (DRANZCOG). Committed to continuous professional development, she has earned a Certificate of Dermoscopy and a Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine from the Skin Cancer College Australasia, completed the Fundamentals in Skin Cancer Diagnostics through the University of Queensland, and holds certificates in dermatoscopy and skin cancer management from Skin Cancer Symposiums International.
