Dr Cassim Makada

Dr Cassim Makada is a dedicated and highly skilled General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a career spanning multiple continents, he has gained extensive clinical experience working within both hospital systems and general practice environments across South Africa, Canada, and Australia. Dr Makada is committed to delivering reassuring, high-quality healthcare to individuals and families, ensuring that every patient receives personalised attention tailored to their unique medical needs.

Dr Makada completed his medical degree, obtaining his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), at the University of Natal in South Africa in 1988. Demonstrating a strong commitment to professional excellence and ongoing education, he achieved his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2010. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Makada contributes to the future of the medical profession by serving as a Trainer and Examiner for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners' GP training programme.

Throughout his diverse career, Dr Makada has developed a particular interest in Rural Medicine, addressing the unique healthcare challenges faced by regional communities. He is also deeply passionate about Child and Adolescent Health, as well as broader child and family health services.
