Dr Fordyce graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 1992 from the University of Queensland. Following his initial medical training, he completed specialised training in general practice and was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 1999.
