Dr Bimal Shrestha

Dr Bimal Shrestha is a dedicated and highly skilled General Practitioner whose medical career spans three continents. Beginning his professional journey as a Primary School Teacher in Nepal, he transitioned into medicine and initially trained as a Surgeon. He successfully completed his surgical examinations and qualified as a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Glasgow, United Kingdom. Dr Shrestha subsequently established a strong interest in minor surgery and skin cancer management, practising as a General Practitioner with a Special Interest in these sub-specialties.

In his daily practice, Dr Shrestha provides comprehensive primary care with a particular focus on Men's Health, Chronic Disease Management, and skin health. He is highly proficient in performing detailed, full-body dermatoscopic skin checks and managing various skin conditions. His surgical background enables him to perform clinic-based procedures, including the removal of skin spots, cysts, lipomas, and ingrowing hairs, as well as the surgical management of ingrowing toenails and serial cryotherapy for skin lesions. He is committed to utilising sound clinical judgement, thorough examinations, and evidence-based medicine to address his patients' concerns.

Dr Shrestha holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). His extensive international training includes membership in the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) in the United Kingdom and the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) in the United Kingdom. He has completed specialised training in the surgical management of skin lesions with the Royal College of General Practitioners in England, alongside advanced skin cancer management training with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Passionate about medical education, Dr Shrestha also serves as a GP Clinical Supervisor, mentoring university medical students.
