Dr Bhisham Singh

Dr Bhisham Singh is an experienced Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon based in Sydney, specialising in the treatment of spinal conditions affecting both adults and children. His expertise covers the full spectrum of spinal disorders from the cervical spine (neck) through to the lumbar spine (lower back), including spinal deformity, reconstruction, trauma, and degenerative conditions.

After completing his medical degree at the University of Mumbai in 1996, Dr Singh undertook specialist orthopaedic training and obtained board certification (DNB) in Orthopaedic Surgery in 2000. He subsequently pursued advanced training in paediatric orthopaedics and spinal surgery before relocating to the United Kingdom to further his career.

While working in the UK, Dr Singh gained extensive experience in spinal surgery and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS Eng) in 2009. In 2011, he moved to Sydney and completed advanced Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA)-accredited fellowships in both adult and paediatric spinal surgery.

His fellowship training included working within several major New South Wales public hospitals, where he managed complex spinal conditions and contributed to high-volume spine surgery services. In 2015, Dr Singh was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS), recognising his specialist qualifications in Australia. 

He consults across north-west and south-west Sydney and performs surgery at several leading hospitals, including Norwest Private Hospital, Westmead Private Hospital, and Macquarie University Hospital.
