Dr. Benjamin Robinson is an experienced adult cardiothoracic surgeon who completed his medical training at Sydney University and his cardiothoracic surgery training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. Following this, he undertook cardiac surgery clinical fellowships at Stanford University Hospital and Bart’s Heart Centre in London, gaining significant international experience.

Dr. Robinson then worked as a consultant cardiothoracic surgeon at St. James’s Hospital in Dublin before returning to Sydney to take on roles at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Concord Repatriation General Hospital, and Strathfield Private Hospital.

Dr. Robinson has extensive expertise across the full range of adult cardiac surgery, including coronary surgery, valvular surgery, and aortic disease. He also has experience in general thoracic surgery and cardiac device implantation. He has a particular interest in minimal access aortic valve surgery, arterial coronary grafting, and aortic surgery.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Robinson has pursued postgraduate study at Cambridge University and has academic interests in surgical outcomes research and epidemiology. He is currently the Director of Training for Cardiothoracic Surgery at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and serves as the Clinical Governance Chair.

With a commitment to advancing the field of cardiothoracic surgery, Dr. Robinson continues to contribute to both the academic and clinical practice of the specialty.
