Dr. Babak Shakeri

Dr. Babak Shakeri is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist trained locally. He completed his Doctor of Medicine in 2005 and subsequently pursued specialist qualifications in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, gaining clinical experience at leading institutions in Sydney.

Dr. Shakeri’s clinical practice integrates research, having conducted studies on conditions including endometriosis and early pregnancy. His approach is evidence-based, with an emphasis on personalised care for patients facing complex fertility and women’s health issues.

He holds a supervisory role for specialist trainees at Fiona Stanley and Fremantle Hospitals, contributing to professional education and ensuring high-quality patient care. His areas of expertise include minimally invasive gynaecological procedures such as advanced laparoscopic and operative hysteroscopic surgery, outpatient procedures including hysteroscopy, colposcopy and LLETZ, reproductive endocrinology (including PCOS and menstrual disorders), recurrent miscarriage management, investigation and treatment of female and male infertility, pre-implantation genetic testing (PGT), ovulation induction, intrauterine insemination and IVF, as well as fertility preservation for medical and social reasons.
