Dr Anthony Jacobson

Dr. Anthony Jacobson is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with a focus on hip and knee procedures. He practises in the Mount Waverley and Wantirna areas, offering a range of specialised services to cater to the diverse needs of his patients.

Dr Jacobson’s areas of expertise include Primary & Revision Hip & Knee Arthroplasty, Sports Knee Surgery, Shoulder Reconstruction, and Orthopaedic Trauma.

He obtained his medical degree from the University of Otago in 1998. He honed his skills in orthopaedic surgery in various locations, including Hobart, New South Wales, and New Zealand. To further enhance his expertise, he completed a Clinical Fellowship in Hip & Knee Arthroplasty at Concord Hospital and conducted research at the Prince of Wales Orthopaedic Research Laboratory in New South Wales in 2010.

Currently, Dr. Jacobson serves as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Maroondah Hospital in Ringwood East. His responsibilities include the management of trauma cases, hip and knee arthroplasty, revision surgeries, knee arthroscopy, and shoulder surgeries. He actively contributes to medical education through tutoring medical students and registrars, engaging in clinical teaching, participating in X-ray meetings, and conducting audits.
