Dr Anna Story

Dr. Anna Story is a clinical endocrinologist with a sub specialisation in thyroid disease; particularly focusing on thyroid cancer. 

She graduated from the University of Queensland in 1997 and completed her physician training at Royal North Shore Hospital in 2001. Dr. Story then went on to advanced training at both Royal North Shore and Prince of Wales Hospitals, earning her fellowship in 2005.

In 2013, she became the director of the Northern Sydney Endocrine Centre, a large multidisciplinary private practice based on the lower north shore adjacent to Royal North Shore Hospital

Anna becaue Treasurer of the Endocrine Society of Australia (ESA) in 2025 , serving as an elected Committee Member of the ESA Board. She has also chaired, organised, and presented at national meetings for the ESA. 

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Story is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the Univeryisty of Sydney. She has been recognized for her commitment to teaching with the Pathology North Excellence in teaching award. 

Her academic work includes developing courses on thyroid ultrasound for the Australian School of Medicine (ASUM), and she is currently working to promote the use of thyroid ultrasound among endocrinologists.

Dr. Story's clinical interests include thyroid cancer, thyroid nodules and goitre, autoimmune thyroid diseases such as hypothyroidism and Graves' disease, and thyroid disease during pregnancy.
